Biography

This Machinery play guitar based rock music with a hard but catchy edge. They have recently begun touring the UK, several internet radio stations have already featured their material.

The Band

Sean Jeffery: Vocals
Sean''s melodic vocals make a refreshing change from the cliched growling so often encountered in rock bands, and his lyrics are thought-provoking and yet straight to the point.

Brian Hoggard: Guitar
Brian''s rhythm guitar playing is innovative vvithout losing focus and ranges from smooth -~ harmonics to crunching riffs. His lead guitar is skilful and often very quick, but always complements rather than competes with the rest of the band.

Graham Thatcher. Bass
Graham''s bass skills demonstrate he is no one-note wonder. He has a knack for finding just the right line to take so that the rhythm section sounds tight but memorable.

Mark Franklin: Drums
Mark''s drum tracks display a sensitivity to the vocal and guitar lines, without losing any of that drive integral to rock. He''s the kind of drummer who makes full use of his kit. Check out lab Rat for some fast and varied drumming.

The Demo

The demo was recorded at ''Dungeon'' studios near Chipping Norton on a treacherously cold weekend in December 1999. That none of us crashed on those ice-rink village roads is something of a miracle. The four tracks on the demo, Lab Rat, Apathetic Planet, Six Impossible Things and Immortality, were recorded very quickly and with minimal snowball fights.
