Biography
The Heavies have a musical heritage to be proud of. They've been responsible for soul/funk driven records such as 'Back To Love', 'Dream On Dreamer', 'Shelter', 'Dream Come True', 'You Are The Universe' and 'Never Stop' which can only be filed under the letter 'C' for classic! They've had 15 hits in the UK and also commercial and critical success worldwide, selling in excess of 2million albums. They were there at the very start of the acid jazz movement, they were one of the bands who helped pioneer a distinctively British soul/funk sound, and then they were in at the beginning again when hip hop and jazz came together: their 'Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol1' album was where The Pharcyde made their recording debut and Gang Starr got hectic.
