Biography
'Fast Track' was released previewed in its storming instrumental version on 10" last year. Taken from the acclaimed album Super Discount 2 by Super Discount (aka Etienne De Crecy and friends), it was quickly established as one of the coolest tracks in clubland towards the tail end of 2004, incredibly simple though hopelessly effective it skips along at 140 bpm with an very distinctive new wave bassline, it is utterly current and really unique. Fast forward to the start of 2005 and 'Fast Track Vocal Mix' comes backed with a Benny Benassi and Munk remix to be released the 11 of April. The single features a video directed by Etienne's wife Marie De Crecy.
Etienne De Crecy's Super Discount 2 is the follow-up (hence the '2') to his acclaimed Super Discount project from 1996. Both feature Etienne working with such esteemed Frenchies as Phillipe Z'Dar, Boombass and Alex Gopher. The 'yellow' '97 model was at the top of the filtered house game alongside Daft Punk. The 'pink' 2004 Super Discount 2 has a steelier, electro edge and is highlighted by 'Fast Track'.
