Biography
Steven began recording in 1987 with a Gloucester based band called `School of Thought'. Shortly after this `School of Thought' disbanded leaving Steven to continue as a solo singer songwriter. Next to follow was a demo entitled 'There's More To Life' (1988) which received good renews In Making Music, Venue and Phaze I magazine, and which prompted Island Records to request a copy of the demo. In 1989 Steven was selected from thousands of demo entries to compete in the BBC Radio1 Musician Style Regional Finals at St Davids' Hall, Exeter. Steven came 3rd in the South West & Wales Heat. Although still unsigned, the release of his double A side CD single 'The Big Picture/This Christmastime' (1999) has attracted more interest in his songs. The single was play listed by Manx Radio as well as being featured on BBC Radio Newcastle and 102.4 The Bear FM.
