Biography
You''re stuck in the traffic, you need to clear you mind, you want something to let your imagination become free, to keep you company. This album is for you.
''As You Like It'' reflects a new genre in contemporary music, yet with all the familiarity of well crafted and orchestrated arrangements. Here Robb Lawton uses the richness of new textures, while maintaining harmony. Piano is central to most of the album''s themes, the themes develop, they are re-presented and transformed time and time again. If you like the film scores of Francis Lai or Vangelis, or the textures created by William Orbit you''ll love this album. Another albums will be out soon. This is ideal music in which to relax, to drive, to create, to perform, to reflect, to savour. It''s difficult to categorise Robb''s music, as it is in essence the way in which he fuses many styles and textures, not only throughout the album, but sometimes within one track.
