Biography
My name is Antonio Raffone and I was born at Castellammare di Stabia, near Naples. I started studying music with Maestro A. L. Apreda at the Naples School of Music and continued with the study of Composition and Conducting under M? E. Renna of the Salerno School of Music, with whom I collaborated as Assistant for the N.M.M. Ensemble. As a youngster, I acquired some experience as a keyboard player with groups playing light music and as church organist. In 1986 I obtained the diploma of Choral Music and Conducting of Choirs and at the same time I conducted several choirs in the Sorrento peninsula and attended, as listener only, several courses at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena (Conducting, Baroque Music, Group Music, Chamber and Quartet Singing), at Villa Pignatelli in Naples (piano technique and interpretation under M? V. Vitale), and at the Siennese Seminars on Jazz Music (piano jazz and improvisation under M? E. Pieranunzi). I was a full-time student at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana for the courses on Italian Baroque Music (M? R. Clemencic) and Film Music (M? E. Morricone) and at the Siennese Seminars on Jazz Music (M? G. Gazzani). At present I am working with M? P. Cairo for R.T.I. Music and have recently had a piece published on the CD attached to the magazine Futura Music, October 1997 edition, which was given excellent reviews. I am publishing a CD in the new age-musical therapy style with A.M. Songs & Music of Vicenza, Italy. I should like to have published some of the pieces proposed on a demonstration cassette or other pieces to be composed at a producer''s express request. I can send a demonstration cassette on demand. I should also be most willing to produce any piece that may be requested, using my own instruments. The instrumentation currently in my possession: Akai S2000 sampler with 32MB; CR-ROM: The Ultimate Piano Collection; Bob Clearmountain Drums 2; P. Siedlaczek''s Advanced Orchestra Vol. 1; Korg O1/W and T3 keyboards with personalised timbre; Roland JV 1080 expander with Orchestral, World and Vintage Synth variations; Lexicon PCM 80 multi-effect with DUAL FX V 1.0 card; Yamaha ProMix 01 mixer; Dat Sony DTC 790; audio card Event Gina.
