Manchester based Paul is one of life?s real survivors after having cheated death following a road accident in October 1993. He now works in a call centre for mobile phone company O2 where it would take him four years to earn the ?50k that Cowell has offered.During a recent live TV interview Simon Cowell said of the wager: ?Do you know what, there's certain times in life when you say something you regret this may be one of those times?
