Biography
The Melody Brand on hand to expand your mind... Formed in Nottingham in the late 1990s - the main pursuit was for good times and good music, and it still is. Inspired by the dub reggae sounds of King Tubby etc. and rock bands like the beatles and the stones as well as folk music such as Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and the seminal LP Love forever changes, no type of music was ever excluded from the endless evenings spent in crowded ash filled rooms. Volume was always an issue and no matter where the sessions took place, there was always a complain neighbour. pooling all their resources together (those who had any) a multi-tracker was obtained on hire purchase (still unpaid) and they began forging a unique sound. Written, performed and produced within the group - the work is original, visionary and only just beggining. Who knows what lies just around the corner?
