Biography
LATIS
A solo artist (composer) who writes mostly orchestral works as well as Pop music with Greek/film music elements. He's 24 years old and has been playing the Guitar for over 11 years. He studied music Walsall College of Arts & Technology and currently finishing a degree with Honours at the Birmingham Conservatoire, with Professor Andrew Downes, He wishes to stay on for a further 2 years, to complete a Post Graduate course at the Conservatoire.
He's been writing for quite some time now and his style has changed quite a lot. Greek people heard his music and told him that it doesn't sound Greek and yet, non-Greek people heard it, and told him its totally Greek. 'I think this implies that I have my own style'. Even though he grew up on Greek folk songs, film music has taken a part of him, and has combined both melodic folk, to emotional passion. As far as gigs are concerned, he performs at least once a term at the Conservatoire, he also play's in Greek restaurants, performing the latest pop songs on either the Guitar, or the Bouzouki. He also gives private singing lessons at the Conservatoire with Howard Milner, who has helped him open his voice and find its true colors. The material on the CD is just some of the styles he writes. He's currently working on new material for his next CD.
