This album include the remixes and extented versions from the original album ''Sittin'' in a bar listenin'' to European Blues of a new century'', this is a mixture of blues roots, jazz groove, hip hop, scratch (Dj Gill) voice box and slide guitar/ wich makes the juju messengers the only group in this new category of spontaneous, modern and European Blues.
their influences come from groups such as G love & special sauce, Fun lovin'' criminal,or Jon Spencer Explosion but as well from blues pionner like Robert Johnson ot Big bill bronzy.
this strange mix is thanks to the meeting between two founder members of the group, Mat Firehair the singer, author and Blues guitarist Philippe bonin the compositor.
Certain titles such as ''Sittin in a Bar'' or ''Elle est partie'' reveals the more intimate side of the group while other titles such as ''give me a break'' or ''Blues Against Racism'' demonstrates a kind of sensual and extraverted groove.
This proove a certain open mindeness on their behalf.
This first album is the fruit of many concerts with Mick taylor, Roben Ford, Poopa Chubby, Lucky Peterson and a year of composing step by step with the sound engineer Patrice Lazareff (Marla Glen, Grace Jones, Rolling Stones...)
