Biography
H&M?s first recording came in April 1998 with the release of the four track ?Pornography? EP on Oxfordshire-based Euphoria Records.
The EP got a 4/5 review in Kerrang! Magazine and was also reviewed in Melody Maker and NME. Some radio play was achieved in England and France - for a first release, quite a lot was accomplished.
The follow-up album was delayed partly due to Andy the drummer having to work in the USA for six months. Recorded at Oxford?s Warehouse Studios, it finally emerged in November 2000.
The live power of the band was retained, but with a clear and polished sound.
Kerrang! gave the album a 3K review and Metal Hammer gave it 6/10 which the band were pleased with, considering the album was released on an independent label.
The Fly magazine gave a glowing review and Powerplay magazine was also suitably impressed. H&M gigged to promote ?Pest? and were soon featured on www.euphoriarecords.co.uk
A UK distribution deal for the album was signed with Prosonic/Plastic Head Distribution.
At the time of writing, Dutch magazine Aardschok had just informed us that they were set to review the album. In November/December 2001 H&M have been writing new songs, the aim being to include them in the live set ready for gigs starting in early 2002. In early April CopOut (Copro Records own magazine) will feature an interview with H&M and the track ''Here I am'' will feature on the covermount CD. Anyone who would like to receive the magazine just has to send their name and address to CopOut, P.O. Box 4429, Henley-on-Thames, Oxon, RG9 1GH, UK.
Quotes from reviews:
Kerrang! - ''Enjoyable release from UK rockers...they give a creditable performance''
