Biography
Formed in 1995: 42 gigs in 1996 all over the Midlands, including Birmingham.. Leicester, Oxford. Coventry, Nuneaton, Leamington, Worcester, Cannock, Bromsgrove. Glastonbury. And Weston-Super-Mare.
First album ''Paranoid in Paradise'' released on CD and cassette in June 1996 on the Eternal label. Launch gig at the old railway in Birmingham. First run of 500 CDs sold out by October. 1000 more pressed.
Live videos of ''Living in the city'', ''Fry up Time'' and, ''I''m so paranoid'' filmed by Jamart productions. And play listed on Cable TV in Birmingham and Coventry.
40 gigs in 1997, ''Paranoid in Paradise'' sold out again, second Album under way. 48 gigs in 1998, second album ''Logical Nonsense'' completed but release held back to take advantage of publicity generated by the inclusion of a specially commissioned and recorded version of ''Living in the city'' on a burn records compilation.
June 1998 - won the battle of the bands contest at the old railway in Birmingham. Winning ?500 Some free recording time, and various musical goodies.
1999 - still more gigs, ''Logical Nonsense'' released - and first pressing sold out. Next - more gigs!
Flaming June love what they do. And '' it shows. They have a unique and powerful sound, and they have managed to translate the raw energy and excitement of their live shows into their recordings. On stage they play with fire, have mad mid-song fights with each other, and once seen are never forgotten.
