The dBs profile has grown even bigger during 2001. The band completed a hugely successful headline tour of Italy in the spring and on their return, having changed up their Lira, headed back into their studio.
During the summer, Drawbacks signed a North American deal with Brooklyn Music Limited. A dynamic mix of forward thinkers, BML will unveil Drawbacks officially at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, March 2002.
The brothers dB have just returned from NYC where they have completed programming work on Pitchshifter's new LP with producer Machine. It's gonna rock. More production work is in the pipeline'
In between all of this, Drawbacks have been licensing various songs to capitalist swines ranging from Filmfour to WWF Smackdown and reaching firms from Poland to Peru.
Finally, the band's inclusion on the Virgin Records' Kingpin compilation helped raise awareness in the traditional form of music marketing. The critics loved it, the weak and tiresome UK record labels remain unaware of the wealth of talent on the street. Fuck 'em!
