In a day and age when most musicians are trying to sound like the latest ''record de jour,'' it is a bold and formidable task to create a musical sound that is truly unique ...David Brown''s original and distinctive songwriting and vocal style accomplishes just that. Witk a penchant for writing infectious melodies and lyrics that transcend gender and age, and the ability to capture the heart and soul of a live audience. Brown brings a potent creativity to each of his musical endeavors. This talented singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer started his musical career in 1984 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While he always loved music, it wasn''t until after college (where excelling in numerous sports had been his priority), that he began to seriously pursue music as a profession. Since then, he has been the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for several different bands including Alethea, Code Blue, The Toys, The Psychedelic Cowboys and most recently The David Brown Band; performing at hundreds of venues in the Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga areas; as well as opening for such renowned and diverse (as well as crowd- drawing) acts as Yes, Paul Rogers (of Bad Company), Eddie Money, Johnny Van Zant, Starship, Atlanta Rhythm Section, just to name a few. In addition to his solo work. Brown has extensive studio experience, recording both with his bands and with professional sidemen. He has worked with Steve Nathan (renowned studio keyboardist), Bryan Holmes (drummer for the Producers and Kansas), Tim Smith (bassist for Jellyfish and Sheryl Crow), Brendan O''Brien (producer for Aerosmith, Pearl Jam and The Stone Temple Pilots), Charlie Adams (drummer for Yanni) and many other top-notch performers.In 1995 Brown released his debut recording. Believe, on El Vee Records, an album on which he wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs. When it came time to record these new songs, David opted for a live feel, bringing his touring band (Rick Byler, who also co-wrote several of the tunes on the album, on guitars; Dustin Sargent on bass.
