Biography
Coppermine is Jonathan Buck and Jonathan Sea: one a legal proofreader/security guard/jazz trumpter from Toronto, Canada and the other a coffee cart ad salesman/placard laminator/metal guitarist from Bemidji, Minnestoa. Both live in NYC.
Before joining Coppermine, Jonathan Sea was writing and producing latin market Budweiser jingles and teaching guitar in New York City. Jonathan Buck had a modern jazz group called ''Jonathan Buck and the 21st Century'' which toured Canada and released a CD, ''The Catalyst'', now available in cut-out bins everywhere.
Coppermine has performed under various guises, at the Knitting Factory, Spiral, Pyramid, and McGovern''s in NYC and will next set about playing large stadiums. Live, the group is a foursome. Coppermine''s influences include Tad, John Coltrane, Unsane, Neil Young, Pantera, Gordon Lightfoot and Candiria.
