Biography
Formed in late 1998 by fellow students Ben Garnett, Martin White and Dan 0,
Colonel Bastard immediately started working on new material, building on the
strong musical history of Messrs Garnett and White. With Martin''s brother Chris
added a week later to complete the line-up, a truly unique band was born, and
their blend of skewed new-wavey powerpop, combined with the inspired riffing of
joint-songsmith Benny G soon garnered the band a cult audience. The recent
addition of Russell Garnett on keyboards has expanded their live sound.
After playing shows in their home county of Cornwall, the band recorded their first
EP ''Lemon Billy'' in 1999, going on to record a 15-track album ''We Know Where
You Live'' in early 2001. The band are currently writing and recording tracks for
future release, and plan to gig extensively in summer 2001.
