CLASSICOOL aims to fuse the old and the new, bringing together classical and contemporary musical styles and commissioning new works from leading exponents in the jazz and contemporary music fields.WARREN WILL''S (Composer/piano) diversity in the musical world is well documented. His works include, Pin Money Opera (Carling London Best Musical Award, 1992) and Josephine (Critics Circle Award Best Musical runner-up, 1993) for BAC, the UK premier The World Goes 'Round - Kander and Ebb, directed by Jude Kelly (West Yorkshire Playhouse, 1995/6) and the box office breaking Zorro by Ken Hill (Theatre Royal Stratford East, 1995). He is co-founder of Babel Theatre (resident company at BAC) and has a worldwide record contract with Prestige Records who have released Piano Classics and Eleven Aspects. The critics view Warren as 'the Motown Janacek' (Time Out), and describe his work as ''fascinating...Steve Reich meets Mike Leigh' (The Guardian) with an ability to 'send us away in a state of perplexing, yet sublime euphoria' (The Sunday Times). His co-production of Babel Nights (BAC. 1996) was listed in The Evening Standard Hot Tickets during its entire run. Recent successes include Lost and Found starring Sharon D Clarke; Amsterdam with Peter Straker directed by Mel Smith; Tara Hugo show in New York directed by Alan Rickman; has recently been MD of all shows on the new AURORA ; and is being commissioned to compose for a new Elizabth Barret Browning musical; and currently producing Adele Anderson's new album, WHY TRY TO CHANGE ME. MD/composer for SUBVERSIVE - and MEN I''VE HAD at Jermyn St. Theatre April 2001 ROLAND ROBERTS is a British born conductor and violinst, described by Ruggiero Ricci as '' one of the most talented violinsts I have had the privilege to hear'' His international solo performance have taken him world wide, last year touring Australia and appearing as a solo artist with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. He has appeared on BBC TV and radio broadcasted in Chicago, Italy and Germany. His classical recordings include two discs of Turina and Hummel for Meridian and Muller for Guild Music. He is also an active session violinist and has appeared on albums for pop and Hollywood movie soundtracks, and is featured in a new British movie due for release in June 2001 called Another Life.
