Biography
Cambridge Chorale, founded in 1994 by Michael Kibblewhite, is a chamber choir of experienced singers, many of whom have Cambridge connections. Performing highlights include the first appearance by a British choir at the Cervo International Music Festival in Italy and performances at the Kings Lynn Festival, St Pauls Cathedral and Peterborough Cathedral in the UK. Alpha-Omega, Cambridge Chorales first CD, was named as CD of the Month by Richard Baker in the Classic FM Magazine and the choir has made several recordings for film and television.
Michael Kibblewhite enjoys an international reputation as one of Britain''s leading choral directors. He is currently Music Director of Cambridge Chorale, Cantate Youth Choir and Hertfordshire Chorus. Recent engagements overseas have included concerts in Japan, Israel, Denmark and the Netherlands and he has many recordings to his credit. His use of Estill Voice Craft techniques ensures a wide range of tone quality and dynamics in all his choral work.
Daniella Ganeva has performed extensively throughout Europe. She studied in Bulgaria and at the Guildhall School of Music, London and has won several international competitions. Her second solo album was released this spring on the Global Music Network, an internet music service. Daniella commissioned Visio Remissionis and gave the world premiere in Florida in November 1998.
Mike Hall co-ordinates Jazz Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music and directs the RNCM Collective and Improvisation workshops. He played with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, has broadcast frequently with composer and pianist Michael Garrick) worked with Don Rendcll and Red Rodney and has recorded with his own quartet, Blueprint.
Julian Wilkins is accompanist to Cambridge Chorale and has also worked with Cantate Youth Choir and at Canford Summer School of Music. He coaches the horn section of the Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Orchestra and is currently Assistant Organist at Great St Marys, Cambridge.
