Year. Although mostly acoustic
based... natch... this collection
is littered with different flavours
and moods, all employed to
excellent effect.
Not only can he play a mean
geetar, he''s also got a top
voice, somewhere between
Peter Gabriel and lan Anderson.
It Won''t Be Today is one of
the best examples of the more
traditional styles Ben adopts. It
indudes a very accessible
melody along.with a gob-iron
and an acoustic riff

that sees harmonics
being
incorporated into a more
traditional finger-style.
Through With You is far more
modern in both approach and
feel but no less impressive.
There''re instrumentats and
more off the wall arrangements
too, but all display that
unmistakeable touch of class
that secured Ben the title just
under a year ago.
The production of the entire
CD is excellent - just the right
mix of hi-fi sheen and organic

feel - and adds a real
professional taste.
