It has been a remarkable year and a half since Avril first released a single in the summer of 2002. Incredibly, at the age of 18, the Canadian from the tiny town of Napanee, Ontario has established herself as one of the world's biggest solo female artists, her debut album 'Let Go' selling an incredible 14 million copies worldwide. The album continues to sell and is currently certified 5 x platinum in the UK (and a UK No 1 album) and 6 x platinum in the USA. The album also gave Avril three worldwide hit singles in 'Complicated' (UK No 3), 'Sk8er Boi' (UK No 8) and 'I'm With You' (UK No 7). 'Let Go' established Avril Lavigne as the female face of rock to a whole new generation of music fans.Avril Lavigne has also developed into a seasoned live performer. Her 'Try To Shut Me Up' worldwide tour in early 2003 took in USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Europe and the UK. Her original five shows in the UK sold out within days and led to two extra London dates being added at Brixton Academy. The live tour is documented on current DVD 'My World' 'Don't Tell Me' is released through Arista/BMG on the 10th May 2004. The album 'Under My Skin' is released on the 24th May 2004.
