Biography
Beautiful, gentle, pure folk music based on traditional themes of love, sorrow and deep longing.Alan Wrightson''s music ranges in texture from Joni Mitchell, the Wonderstuff to acoustic Led Zeppelin, but it''s the relaxed vocals and the focused lyrics which complete the picture. He has been writing songs since he was 17.
''Bring On The Rain'' is his debut album. He wrote and performed all the songs himself. It is published by Mindful, his own label. He hails from Redditch, which is up North to Southerners and down South to Northerners. Either way, no one can compete with it''s status as Worldwide Capital Of dual carriageways. Alan has worked in some great bands, and some not so great. If Jackson Shaft still plays bass, please get in touch!! The album was recorded on a Spirit 328, ADATs and a Tascam MX2424, using a Neumann TLM103, TR-Rack, EMU Proteus 2000, Gibson J200, Fender Wildwood, 40th Anniversary Strat, Baby Taylor and Technics KN3000.
