JTWR inspired enthused ripples across the music scene late last year when he became the first UK hip hop act to sign to Sony - he impressed the A department with his self-released white labels 'Backlash' and Make A Change' - both of which impelled reverence and revolt from across the music and style press alike.

Biography
There is more to JTWR than meets the eye. There's no doubt he's a wayward maelstrom of a lad who thrives on spouting off about anything that's pissing him off, with a wicked anarchicfuelled humour (think Johnny Rotton meets Dizzee Rascal), but strip off the outer layer and you'll find an intelligent, sensitive man who has battled through a troubled life. JTWR was abandoned by his parents as a child, spent fifteen years in and out of foster care and has recovered from an overdose. But he's not sitting on his arse whingeing about it, he's doing it on record and making it work to his own advantage. He is the screaming, shouty voice for the teenage generation, and his new single Our Time' is its anthem.
